SUPPLEMENT TO ANNEX 2 Second Edition Page 3 C HIL E - GENERAL COMMENTS -.---.. ". ,.. . In view of the geographic configuration of Chile, which is unique in the world, the application of the table of qua- drantal cruising levels referred to in Appendix C, is not practical as the route followed by air craft in flight, i a general South-North or North-South direction within the national territory constantly crosses the 000" - 180" axis, making it necessary for aircraft to change their cruising levels each time they cross the limit separating the different quadrants. This means changing altitude constantly during a single flight. To correct this difficulty, the adoption of the following quadrantal cruising levels is proposed, as it provides a satisfactory solution to the problem outlined above From 045" to 134" magnetic, inclusive, odd hundreds of metres multiples of 3, plus 150 metres. From 135" to 224" magnetic, inclusive, even hundreds of metres multiples of 3. From 225" to 314" magnetic, inclusive, even hundreds of metres multiples of 3, plus 150 metres, From 315" to 044" magnetic, inclusive, odd hundreds of metres multiples of 3. A Class B Notam will be published in Chile, containing quadrantal levels adopted. This will be distributed to Contracting States and airlines concerned. DENMARK Nothing in the Rules of the Air can be used as an excuse for violation of special rules, properly issued and published, relating to the manoeuvring of air craft all aircraft owners, pilots-in-command and other flight crew members on board aircraft shall act according to such rules.
