ICAO Circular 48-AN/43 HELICOPTER ORERATIONS FOREWORD In a letter Ref. AN u9.3 - 780 dated 11 March 1954 Contracting Statee were requested to provide ICAO with copies of reports of Committees con- cerned with the further development of helicopter air transport as well as technical studies dealing with any related aspect of this subject. Copies of national regulations, believed to be necessary for controlling national heli- copter operations, whether they be contemplated, provisional or adopted, were also requated. It was indicated that this information would be issusd to States with a view to acquainting national administrations with significant developments in helicopter air transport and associated national legislation. Thia Circular aonsists of a series of papers containing information of this type. Note.- The first four papers contained in this Circular were originally published in a document entitled "Memoranda on Helicopter OperationsN and aarried the following rraference numbere r Doc 7606, HEL Memo No. 1 Do0 7611, HEL Memo No. 3 Doc 7609, ' HEL Memo No. 2 Doc 7627, HEL bmo No. 4. In view of the large demand for these papers the original publication has been superseded by this Circular.
